About Student Activities & Leadership
Mission
The Office of Student Activities & Leadership empowers Case students to take ownership of their university experience by supporting student programs, traditions, and initiatives. Through a foundation of leadership development, we assist in creating a vibrant undergraduate student climate and a stronger Case community.
We strive to do this by:
- Advising the Class Officer Collective, Undergraduate Student Government, Journey Council, and the University Program Board
- Serving as a resource to all USG-recognized student clubs and organizations
- Advising the committees that execute university traditions like Halloween at the Farm, Homecoming, Springfest, Senior Week, Hudson Relays, and Family Weekend
- Developing and facilitating new leadership programs like the Emerging Leaders Program
- Offering support services which ensure successful programming. This includes program development and implementation, fiscal management, and accountability training.
- Supporting student programming initiatives such as Point Blue, Clash of the Classes, etc.
- Supporting the programs and initiatives of the Division of Student Affairs such as Greek Week, Orientation, the annual Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll Conference, Community Hour, and Second Year Institute
- Recognizing student leaders at the Student Leadership Awards ceremony and in organizational programs and ceremonies
- Engaging in professional development so that we may remain refreshed and knowledgeable in responding to student needs
- Creating and supporting the life of Thwing Center through Atrium Hours, Study Over, etc.
- Providing opportunities for development through undergraduate and graduate student employment
- Creating spaces in our office that are open to students for conversation about their personal and organizational development
- Providing services that are responsive and supportive of students and their programs, including Balloon Place at Case, Poster Printing, copy services, ticket sales, and more
