Why Should Case Students Get Involved?
Students typically spend 85% of their time outside of the classroom. It is because of this large block of unstructured time that we encourage students to explore the involvement opportunities here on campus. In addition to filling time and meeting people with similar interests, involvement on campus has many benefits!
There are personal, academic, and professional benefits to getting involved at Case. Students who get involved:
- Earn better grades
- Are more successful in their academic program
- Have higher levels of aspiration
- Are more likely to graduate
- Have more contact with faculty and staff
- Meet students with similar interests and develop healthy interpersonal relationships
- Successfully integrate and become connected to the university community
- Are more marketable when job searching or applying for graduate school
- Have higher self-esteem
- Develop cultural awareness
- Refine problem-solving skills
What are your involvement options?
There are over 150 clubs and organizations ranging from academic, cultural, competitive, performance, service, and social in nature so there is no excuse not to get involved.
Are we missing something?
If there is not a club currently that piques your interest, then we encourage you to start a new student organization. All you need to be a recognized organization is 10 members, an organization constitution, elected officers, and a completed USG recognition form. Stop by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership for assistance or for more information on how to start a new organization!
