Sports Clubs

Case sponsors 12 sport clubs that fill the void between intramural sports and intercollegiate athletics. Club members participate in competitive sport activities, learn new skills, improve skill levels, and enjoy the recreational and social fellowship derived from sports involvement.

A Sports Club is a student organization recognized by the Physical Education & Athletics Department that has been formed by individuals motivated by common interests and a desire to participate in a favorite sport activity. Sports Clubs are governed by the rules and regulations governing all student organizations. Participation is voluntary.

The Sports Club Program is coordinated by the Intramural Director in the Physical Education and Athletic Department, who reviews disbursement of funds, schedules facility space, and uses best effort to promote the objectives of the program.

The Intramural Sports program serves the recreational and leisure needs of students, faculty and staff at Case Western Reserve University. Diversified programs and experiences are offered throughout the year to accomplish this purpose.

The Intramural program offers leisure opportunities for women, men and co-rec participants, where men and women play on the same team. These activities are provided in the form of leagues, tournaments, or special one-day events.
