Discover how you can provide ethical leadership on issues ranging from environmental ethics to economic and social justice to conflict resolution and humanitarian intervention and beyond. By joining GELS you can learn how to enhance your leadership skills, analyze complex moral issues, inspire others to support ethical policies, highlight your commitment to Global Ethical Leadership for all to see, and play an active role in promoting moral progress on a global scale! There are also opportunities for GELS members to receive funding for experiential learning projects, conference attendance, research, and other activities. Membership is open to undergrads, graduate students, and professional students. Nomination by a faculty member is required in most cases. The annual International Ethics Symposium and Inamori Ethics Prize honors outstanding international figures in the field of ethics. The symposium will focus exclusively on ethics and ethical leadership for an international audience. Each year, an International Ethics Symposium will be convened in conjunction with the Inamori Ethics Prize. The symposium will explore the theoretical and practical ramifications of the work and/or area of interest of the prize recipient.
