Student Organizations
The Student Executive Council (SEC) is an umbrella organization that represents the six boards, which are the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), the University Program Board (UPB), the Student Media Board, the Class Office Collective and the Interfraternity Congress & Panhellenic Council. These six boards meet four times a semester to discuss campus-wide issues and to promote communication between themselves.
USG represents all undergraduate students at Case Western Reserve. It is the primary governing body for the students to the faculty, staff, administration, and other appropriate groups. USG grants recognition and funding from the student activities fee to over 90 student organizations. In addition, it tackles issues ranging from campus improvements to university issues that affects students.
UPB initiates and coordinates educational, cultural, and social activities for the University community. UPB is made up of several committees, each of which presents several events during the year. Our events range from purely entertainment to cultural and educational, and they involve the entire campus.
Media Board
The Media Board consists of representatives from undergraduate media organizations which it has granted recognition and shall be responsible for monitoring and reviewing the activities of media under its supervision. These include WRUW-91.1 FM, The Observer, Case Reserve Review, Case TV: Ignite Productions, Retrospect Yearbook, Engineering & Science Review, and CWRU Film Society.
Class Officer Collective
The Class Officer Collective is composed of elected representatives of each class cohort. They are responsible for programming events for their class and certain Case traditions.
Interfraternity Congress >>
The Interfraternity Congress is the student run governing body of all of the fraternities on the Case campus. It oversees the day to day activities of the Greek Community. The Interfraternity Congress is made up of the Executive Board, which consists of seven elected members, and the president and an IFC representative from each of the chapters on campus.
The Panhellenic Council is the student run governing body for the sororities.
RHA is a communication link between the individual hall councils and the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
