Annual Case Programs

Welcome Days

Welcome Days >>

Created by New Student and Parent Programs, these fun events range from dances to comedians and concerts, and are an opportunity for the entire Case community to come together prior to the start of classes. Student groups such as Undergraduate Student Government (USG), University Program Board (UPB), Residence Hall Association (RHA), Interfraternity Congress (IFC), and Panhellenic Council participate by bringing entertainment that welcomes both new and current students back to campus.

Welcome Days is August 19-23, 2009!

Family Weekend

Family Weekend >>

The first full weekend in November, Case invites families to campus for a weekend of entertainment, education, and fun! Planned events include excursions to unique Cleveland attractions, on-campus entertainment, athletic events, mini-colleges by favorite professors, the annual President's Reception, and more. Family Weekend helps families get familiarized with the Case campus and the Cleveland community and provides a fun, unique opportunity for Case students to share campus life with their families!

Family Weekend is November 6-8, 2009!

Homecoming

Homecoming >>

Homecoming is a campus wide celebration that brings together alumni and students, faculty, and staff. It's a university tradition that blends the old with the new as we celebrate our past and embrace the future of Case. A series of events take place throughout the weekend, including a parade, football game, numerous community and alumni gatherings, and the Homecoming dance where students dance the night away!

Homecoming is October 21-25, 2009!

Halloween at the Farm

Halloween at Home>>

We are bringing Case's best Halloween tradition to campus this year! This annual tradition brings the entire Case community together, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and their families.

Past activities are free and have included: costume contests, pumpkin carving, live music, a haunted hayride and fall refreshments.

Halloween at Home is October 31, 2009.  Stay tuned to this site for more updates!

Snow Ball Semi-Formal

This all-campus formal dance takes place each February around Valentine’s Day and features food, dancing, and a fashion show featuring Case students dressed in everything from formalwear to "Case wear" and everything in between. The dance is held in memory of Christina Camardo, a Class Officer and co-founder of Snowball who unexpectedly passed away in 2000. The event also serves as the Class Officers’ philanthropy event for the year.

Snowball is February 19, 2010!

Thwing Programming

Thwing Programming >>

Thwing Center is the heart of campus at Case! Programs developed by the staff and students who work in Thwing, include Study Over, Tuesday Tasters, St. Patrick's Day Party, Mardi Gras Celebration, and Atrium Hours featuring talented students. These events and programs help create a buzz in the building and add to the aura of student life. UPB's Thwing Tuesdays Committee also provides programming for all students every Tuesday afternoon from noon to 1 p.m. in the Thwing atrium.

Check out pictures from the 2008 Mardi Gras party in our photo gallery.

Hudson Relays

Hudson Relays

The Hudson Relays has been a fixture on campus each spring for nearly a century. The race dates back to 1910 when students at Adelbert College — declaring "this race is not in the normal course of mankind" — decided on a relay race to commemorate the school's 1882 move to Cleveland. The 26-mile route extended from the campus of Western Reserve Academy in Hudson to the large rocks in front of Adelbert Hall. Teams representing the undergraduate classes completed half-mile legs.

Due to heavy traffic along the traditional route, the race became a 26-mile relay in 1990 and is now run on a closed course around University Circle. The race still ends at Adelbert Hall and the winning class year is always carved into one of the rocks as part of the ongoing tradition.

Hudson Relays is April 24, 2010!

Springfest

Springfest

Springfest, which occurs the last Saturday of the spring semester, is a student-planned event that celebrates Case and fosters campus unity. The tradition continues each year with inflatable attractions, novelty games, student organization booths, and great food. Throughout the day you will hear local bands and a national headliner that entertains hundreds of Case students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.

Springfest is April 24, 2010!

Study Over

Study Over >>

One of our most popular events on campus, the Thwing Study Over offers students a chance to break away from all the books, papers and last-minute assignments. Held in both the fall and spring semesters just before finals week, students converge on Thwing Center for free food, massages, entertainment, giveaways, and group study sessions.

Fall Study Over is December 7, 2009!

Spring Study Over is April 27, 2010!

Senior Week

Senior Week occurs the week between the last day of finals and commencement. It is a time of relaxation and enjoyment, and a chance for members of the graduating class to renew friendships and talk about their tenure at Case.

Senior Week is May 6-13, 2010!
