Case Western Reserve University senior Esther Erb became the first Case Western Reserve University track and field athlete to claim a national title since 1995 when she won the 10,000-meter run [35:45.01] at the 2008 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships in Oshkosh, Wisc., May 22-25.
Student Life
Ashley Lowry, winner of the 2008 Quality of Life Award, consistently proves her dedication to her chapter and the Greek community she serves. Ashley was instrumental in organizing her chapter's philanthropic event, Mr. CWRU, which raised over $2000. She also has participated in Race for the Cure, Autism Speaks, and other events on campus. deleted redundancies, cleaned up the structure
Catherine Caponero, winner of the 2008 Outstanding Freshman Award, maintained a 4.0 average, volunteered regularly in the community, and held leadership roles within organizations while still making time for family and friends. She was thoroughly committed to several campus groups, including the Emerging Leaders Program, American Medical School Association, a medical fraternity and University Hospital. In addition, Catherine organized a group of 50 students from her residence hall to attend "Avenue Q" and planned the first etiquette dinner for her pre-med fraternity and successfully sold 80 tickets.
