Recreational sports at Case Western Reserve University are designed to serve the leisure and recreation needs and interests of students, faculty, and staff. A variety of programs are available throughout the year to satisfy participants who are interested in cooperative/competitive play activities, games and contests.
The activities in intramural, open recreation, wellness and sport club programs are designed to enhance the quality of life for the
campus community. The activities enable participants to have fun, develop new skills, and meet others with similar interests. The experiences create opportunities for ethical, intellectual, social, and physical growth and development.
Excellence is measured by the breadth of opportunities for participation, satisfaction of participants, scope of activities, attractive and well-designed facilities, modern and maintained equipment, quality of response to users needs, and cooperation with other entities within the university.
