Safety Officer

Sports clubs practicing off campus or in non-PE / Athletic facilities on campus shall designate a safety officer. It is recommended that all club officers appoint a safety officer. The duties of the safety officer include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Being knowledgeable of emergency procedures when an accident or injury occurs.
  2. Reporting incidents and submitting injury reports.
  3. Inspecting equipment for safety.
  4. Reporting safety hazards to the Sport Club Director.
  5. Promoting club safety.
  6. Verifying that participants in aquatic activities are proficient swimmers.
