Forfeits
If a team forfeits two contests during its schedule season, that team will be dropped for the remainder of
the season. In the event of a double forfeit, both teams will be charged with a forfeit. Points will be
deducted from the All-Sports Trophy Competition in the event of a forfeit.
The team forfeit fee is $20.00 per game. Each team manager is responsible for all team forfeit fines.
Individuals competing in dual and individual activities that forfeit a scheduled contest shall be assessed a
$5.00 forfeit fine. Teams and/or individuals who are unable to meet the published schedule of play and who
notify the intramural office in writing 48 hours in advance of their scheduled contest shall not be assessed a
forfeit fine.
A lottery for a post-season playoff opportunity will be employed for teams that
would be ineligible for their respective divisional playoffs. One team from those
that forfeited one game or failed to provide officials one time per that team activity shall be eligible for the playoff lottery pool, if present at the seeding meeting. Teams that have multiple forfeits, multiple official no-shows, or a combination of same shall be ineligible for post-season play.
Teams and/or individuals with outstanding forfeit fee balances may have their
intramural participation restricted until all fees are paid in full.
