Players and Rosters
One Team
A student may represent only one team in a given activity. After entering one contest with
a given team, a player may not transfer to another team in that sport. Any team using an
ineligible player will forfeit all the games in which he/she was involved in and will be placed
on probation. Violation of this rule may result in suspension of the individual from
all intramurals for one semester. A player must have competed in one-third of
his/her team's regular season games to be eligible for post-season play.
Assumed Names
Any player using an assumed name should be identified to the intramural supervisor
or official. Any player using an assumed name may be barred from all intramurals
for one or more semesters. If a member of a team uses an assumed name, the team
shall forfeit all games/matches in which the participant played under that assumed name.
In an effort to maximize the opportunity for fair play, each player shall display his/her Case ID (photo ID) to
the opposing team manager (or designated representative) prior to the start of each intramural contest. The
opposing team manager shall verify the names listed on the official score sheet. Players arriving after the
start of a contest should report to the opposing team manager prior to their entry into that intramural contest,
so that he/she can verify the name that is listed on the official score sheet.
Rosters
All names and active Case student e-mail addresses should be on the official team roster
submitted to the intramural sports staff. A student's name must be on the roster before he/she plays.
Managers may add names to the roster at any time during the regular season. A player's name listed on an
official score sheet shall be considered as being placed on an official team roster.
Protests
A protest concerning eligibility of a player is the only protest allowed. Rules
interpretation by the officials may not be protested. A written eligibility protest may
be made to the professional intramural sports staff at any time and by any individual
or team. During league play, a valid eligibility protest will cause the team to lose
each game in which the individual played in. Protests made during divisional playoffs
or tournament play will affect only the team's last game.
It is the duty of each team manager to make sure players meet all eligibility requirements.
