2009 Wittke Award Winners
The Wittke Award Student Selection Committee has selected two faculty members who will be honored at this year's Commencement: Corbin Covault, associate professor of physics, and Nancy DiIulio, instructor of biology.
Both received multiple nominations, which included the following remarks:
"[Nancy DiIulio] is extremely enthusiastic, and ALWAYS listens actively to any questions students have. She never puts down silly questions. She pays full attention to the student and makes you feel like you're the most important person in the room...She is unique in that she makes the student feel like a celebrity no matter what the conversation is about."
"[Corbin Covault's] enthusiasm during teaching is hard to miss. He loves the subject and loves sharing his knowledge with students. He makes time for each individual student and pushes them to do their best. I have enjoyed every lecture he has taught."
