On-campus Interviewing Program

As many as 300 employers visit campus each year to recruit Case students. These employers are from large corporations, young, start-up companies, government agencies, and research laboratories. These employers come to interview students for internships and permanent positions upon graduation.

For permanent positions, many seek May graduates. Some seek December and March grads as well. The greatest numbers of employers visit campus in the fall, so sign up with us early in your senior year.

On-campus interviews begin in October. Our facility and staff have a reputation among employers as one of the best at any university. We do our best to make sure that the interviewers enjoy their experience and are willing to hire hardworking, soon-to-be graduates like you.

Please refrain from using on-campus interviews for practice. Instead, sign up for a mock interview. Employers spend hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars to send recruiters to Case to interview our students. Each recruiter sees only about 10-13 students, and so each interview space is very costly to the employer. They cannot be expected to spend this kind of money to provide practice interviews to students who are not really interested in their positions. In addition, students who are thinking of an interview as "just for practice" tend not to perform as well. This will affect the interview and both the student and the interviewer will feel this effect. It usually results in a poor interview which does nothing to enhance the student's skills or self-confidence.

Career advisors can provide excellent opportunities for practice interviews. You can have your interview videotaped and review it yourself or get your advisor's feedback. The advisors can give you very specific and targeted feedback, will be more honest with you, and can provide you with much better coaching than recruiters.

Job listings for each company conducting on-campus interviews will be posted on eCompass. These listings include a brief company description, a description of the job duties, the requirements of the position, and the types of materials required by the employer and deadlines for submission of materials or sign-up.
