Location: Meet at KSL oval at 11:45am
Date: Saturday, October 10
Time: 11:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Newman Catholic Campus ministry is sponsoring this Saturday of Service get-away that will include time for service (pulling invasive species) as well as opportunities to enjoy the autumn beautiy and reflect for renewal in the midst of a busy semester.  There will also be a BBQ and s'more campfire fun. We’re headed to 80 acres of rolling forest and fields in a Geauga County, conservation area.  It’s 45 minutes from campus and a world away, including a 300 year old oak tree, great trails, an extensive beaver pond and a swimming pond.  If time allows, we’ll have the option of paddling canoes and kayaks on site.  Sponsored by Newman Catholic Campus Ministry, this is open to everyone and will include times of song and reflection, but it does not aim at nor assume doctrinal assent.  Reflection tools include an excerpt from the Book of Wisdom, journaling with an essay by noted Quaker educator Parker Palmer, and sharing poetry by Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver, and others to take home with you.  Transportation is provided.  Volunteers will meet at the KSL oval at 11:45am.
