CCEL Semester Spotlight
The CCEL Semester Spotlight is designed to draw attention to a specific issue or theme of particular relevance to our community. CCEL serves as a clearinghouse for promoting activities both on campus and in the community that relate to the spotlight while also acting as a catalyst for new programs that raise awareness about the issue.
This Semester Spotlight for Fall 2009 is global citizenship, exploring what it means to be a responsible, ethical, and engaged global citizen.

The first CCEL Spotlight in the fall of 2008 focused on the November 2008 presidential election. Student debates, a campuswide game of "Political Jeopardy," and voter registration campaigns were among many events highlighted through the CCEL spotlight page. The resource calendar on the website also provided information about speakers, panel discussions, and other activities related to the election.
For the spring 2009 semester, CCEL spotlighted the issues of hunger and homelessness on both a local and global level. Resources, events, and organizations related to CCEL's spring spotlight can be found on our hunger and homelessness page.
