Learn about your relationship to alcohol

There are several self-assessment tools you can find online to give you an idea about whether your alcohol use is in check or not. One of these tools is an anonymous self assessment called eCHECKUP TO GO.

The eCHECKUP TO GO programs are personalized, evidence-based, online prevention interventions for alcohol developed by counselors and psychologists at San Diego State University.

Drawing on motivational interviewing (Miller & Rollnick, 2002) and social norms theory (Perkins & Berkowitz, 1986), the eCHECKUP TO GO programs are designed to motivate individuals to reduce their consumption using personalized information about their own drinking and risk factors. The programs were designed and updated with the most current and reliable research available. They are currently being used at more than 550 universities and colleges across 49 states and in Canada, Australia and Ireland.

University Counseling Services knows how important it is for students to have the facts about their own drinking behaviors. That's why we have provided this online survey for all Case Western Reserve University students. It is an anonymous survey you can take on your own and receive individualized feedback. If interested, students can print out their feedback and talk to a counselor about their use. To complete the survey, please visit the eCHECKUP TO GO website.
