Eligibility

All enrolled students of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Art, Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine are eligible for University Counseling Services.

The UCS sees over 1,100 students each year. Generally our services are free* but we limit our individual counseling and psychiatry services to a short-term model of care. Students with longer-term mental health and counseling needs may be referred to community resources based upon the student's health insurance. Depending upon the need, some of these referrals are offered at reduced cost.

In the summer months, un-enrolled students planning to resume their studies in the fall semester may access services after paying a one-time " Summer Health Fee ." The fee also includes healthcare appointments at University Health Service . When students are enrolled in the Aetna Student Plan, the fee is automatically deducted.

* A fee is charged for Neuropsychologial / Learning Disability Testing
