    Hello,

I will be leaving on June 10th for vacation outside of the US. Will I receive the summer reading before this date? If not, who should i contact immediately

     Hi Andrew,

Actully, there's nothing to worry about.  Students attending Sessions 1, 2 and 3 will receive their copy of the book at Orientation.  Students going to Session 4 will have a copy mailed to them in July.  You'll have plenty of time to read!  Hope this helps.

To be perfectly honest, no one really talked about the assigned reading my freshmen year.  Reading that book was a complete wast of time for me.

    Hey Andrew,

I'm glad to hear that you're thinking about the summer reading book already.  Like Tyler said, you'll get the book at orientation or in the mail in July, depending on your orienation session.  I started reading it just a couple of days ago, and it's really good.  Well written, interesting ideas, and it's kicking off a year of celebration of the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth.  I hope you enjoy the book!

You won't write anything about it during Orientation... Orientation is all fun! (okay, so you do have to complete a writing proficiency test, but it won't be on the Summer reading book)

The Summer reading book will be used mostly in your First Seminar class this Fall. My first-year, my teacher had us write our first paper based around the Summer reading so it is worth it to take the time to read it.

Plus, the Convocation speaker (http://www.case.edu/convocation) is always based on the Summer reading book... this year the author will be coming to speak, and reading his book will probably make his speech a lot more interesting!

    thanks, it really helps alot.

are there going to be any tests on summer sessions?

like from the information the school sent to us by mail, it says there will be exams on math, chemistry and physics? AP tests?

our country doesn't have the whole AP system which you can take college courses before going to college, so will we do it then?
