register classes on the new student checklist

    hi
I am an incoming student to Case. I have a question about the first-year academic registration.
Will the courses I put in my shopping cart be full at the time I attend the orientation? Because I take the last summer session and some courses I put in my shopping cart have few available seats when I check the course information.

    Hi Li,

Let's say a class has 120 available seats.  Since there are 4 orientation sessions, the registrar allots 30 seats for each orientation.  Therefore you have an equal chance of getting into the class as everyone else.  If the class is full when you schedule, don't panic, just fill out a form saying you need to get into the class and if it's required for your major, you'll get into it 95% of the time.  I hope that answers your question.

    hi

today I checked my checklist, the status of some of the classes I put in my shopping cart turned closed.

It says I am invalid to enroll at this time, what should I do? do i still keep a seat in these classes?

Is this the actual status of the classes we will be taking?

I'm going to assume that you're coming to 4th Orientation and haven't scheduled yet.  Like I said before, there are still seats reserved for everyone in the last session.  Some other classes might have filled up, but if it's needed for your major, Dean amon will work with you to find a solution.  I'm sure it's not what you want to hear, but don't worry about it right now and everything will get worked out before classes start.  Smile
