A Message from the Associate Director

Fall 2007

Hi everyone,

Though the weather seems to be saying it's still summer, we are well into the fall. In fact, by the time you read this you will probably wonder what I am talking about as the weather will surely change any moment. Other than the weather, most of you are working at full speed ahead for your fall semester. Midterms are a breath away and then there's those two little days of fall break!

Students who have not yet registered with our office, please do so! We cannot retroactively accommodate but, we can assist you with the remainder of the semester. Please be sure to allow sufficient time for us to process and review your materials before you need your accommodations.

For those of you who take tests at ESS, please remember to register ONLINE!! It is very difficult to adequately prepare for all of you if we don't have advance notice. That's why we ask that you make reservations a minimum of 5 days in advance of your test date. Also, please talk to your professors. It is your responsibility to coordinate this process with your professor.

For anyone who just wants some assistance with managing their academics along with managing their disability, both Lesley and I are available for individual appointments. Just call or drop by the ESS office and ask to schedule an appointment. We'd be happy to talk with you.

Finally, please remember to take good care of yourselves, now is not the time to cut back on sleep, nutrition or activity . Your academics may be stressing you and you don't need more stress from your body.

Take good care.
Susan
