Electronic Learning Center @ ESS

The Plain Dealer Electronic Learning Center (ELC) @ ESS, located at 464 Sears Building, offers a comfortable learning space incorporating wireless computing and workspace flexibility to allow for customized workshops, small group activities, individual research and study. Printing is available for students through the Print2Sears printer and through a local printer for faculty and staff workshops. The ELC is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and other times by appointment.

The ELC is the recipient of a grant from The Plain Dealer. Its helpful staff is there to answer your questions about our systems. Although targeted toward undergraduate students, the ELC is open to everyone at Case and the surrounding community.

Laptop Lending

Laptops are available for use in the ELC by anyone with a valid Case ID. Information about available applications and an FAQ can be found on the lab software page

ELC Services for Faculty, Staff, and Students

The ELC can be reserved by faculty, staff and student groups for ESS workshops or for custom workshops and study groups. Also, you can stop in with or without your laptop and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere while studying.

Thursday Workshops

Student with laptops studying.The ELC is home to a series of Thursday workshops presented by ESS to enhance students' academic skills. Workshops are on Thursdays from 12 to 1 p.m. in the ELC. These workshops are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have questions, please contact Rhonda Moore or call 216.368.3790.
