Get Out of Your Room and Into Groups
By Saisho Mangala, Biochemistry, Class of 2008
It has always been easier for me to study in the library rather than in my room. It takes me twice as long to do the same amount of work in my room as in the library. There are too many distractions that often divert my attention, such as the television, computer, bed, and roommates.
Getting into groups also helps when studying, because you are often able to answer each other’s questions and get a better grasp of the subject material.
Finally, after a big test or a week of studying, reward yourself. Continuous work will burn you out, and you will quickly find yourself becoming apathetic towards school. Go out and enjoy the many activities CWRU and Cleveland have to offer.
