Being a Successful Commuter Student at Case
By Frieja Atutubo, Biochemistry, Class of 2008
Make it a habit of waking up early and regularly, as if you were going to work. But don't treat it entirely like a chore; listening to your favorite music while driving to an 8:00 am class can be really fun! Also, if you like to voice record your teacher's lectures, instead of listening to the music, you can study while driving! But don't drink and derive, as my former physics teacher used to say! If you get up early in the morning, you can get a lot of things done and avoid cramming the night before the exam because you have already done most of the studying. A good night’s sleep can really help you focus. After feeling good about the test, I usually drive to the mall and reward myself with a nice shirt or whatever is on sale.
