Being an athlete in college takes a dedicated individual. It takes a large amount of commitment, as well as physical and mental energy to stay focused. It takes time to get used to balancing your sport, academic, and social life.

Remember that sometimes you need to take time for yourself and get off of campus to "re-group." Don't be afraid to bring work with you when you travel. Even if you only get 30 minutes of studying before bed, it helps. Some of my most productive work is done while I am on the road and not distracted by events on campus that sound more appealing than studying.
