We now have a card swipe system at the front entrance area of the Learning Center. We ask that whenever a patron (student or other) visits the facilities, that they swipe their Case ID card and/or enter the reason of the visit via the datapad. We implemented this new service to gather demographics information to further funding for the facility, but also to help improve our services and meet your computing needs.
The PDELC has various assistive technologies available including Magic, JAWS, Kurzweil 1000 and 3000, and Dragon Naturally Speaking. Please ask one of our staff if you need assistance with assistive technology.
The Learning Center is for academic purposes. Network games and chat are not permitted.
Software or personal files may be saved onto the temp drive on any workstations. They will be cleared out on a nightly basis. Please save all files to a floppy or USB flash drive.
Eating and drinking is allowed in the learning center. Abuse of this right will be revoked if any mess or if damage to one of the workstations occurs.
Keep conversation to a minimum so that everyone can work undisturbed. Cell phones are permitted. Cell phone ringers must be turned down low or on vibrate and cell phone conversations should be kept to a minimum or taken to the hallway. You will be asked to leave the Center, if you do not comply.
Report any hardware or software problems to the learning center assistant on duty.
Please save all files, finish printing, and begin packing up your belongings 5 minutes before closing.
