If you are enrolling in UNIV 400 A (Professional Development for Graduate TA's who are native speakers of English) or UNIV 400 B (Professional Development for Graduate TA's who are non-natives speakers of English), the required orientation is Friday, January 8, 8:30 am to 1 pm, Nord Hall, Room 310

All UNIV 400 A and B students should report between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. for continental breakfast and registration.

If you have not registered for UNIV 400 A or B by the time of registration, you can complete a drop/add form at the Orientation.

All UNIV 400 A and B students will attend orientation from 8:30 until 11 a.m.  At 11 a.m., UNIV 400 A students will be dismissed.  UNIV 400 B students will remain for a special orientation and will be a lunch.

At this second portion of orientation, UNIV 400 B students will be asked to sign up for a spoken-English test required of all new international TA's.

The spoken-English test times will be announed at the orientation.

If you have questions about the orientation, please contact your instructor Judith Olson-Fallon by calling 368-8825 or emailing to judith.olson-fallon@case.edu

Seminar Attendance for UNIV 400 A and B

You will receive an e-mail announcement approximately two weeks before each seminar. This message will be sent to your Case e-mail account. You are responsible for reading your Case e-mail account on a regular basis. If you do not receive regular messages, you should contact Judith Olson-Fallon at 216-368-8825 or send an e-mail to judith.olson-fallon@case.edu immediately.

Since many seminars are held at lunch time, please feel free to bring your lunch.

Seminar registration will begin after the drop/add period. You may register up to 5:00 p.m. before the day of a seminar. We do not accept walk-in registrations. We recommend that you arrive about 10 minutes before the seminar begins in order to sign in and to receive your small-group assignment.

A sign-in sheet is provided at each seminar. This sign-in sheet is our way of checking attendance. If your signature does not appear on the sign-in sheet, you will not receive credit for that seminar.

Within two weeks of any seminar, the attendance will be posted on this site. You should check your attendance regularly. If you have any questions regarding your attendance, please contact Judith Olson-Fallon at 216-368-8825 or judith.olson-fallon@case.edu.

You may review the remainder of the Fall 2009 - Spring 2010 syllabus on our Seminar Descriptions webpage.
