Sheep Barn Usage Guidelines

  1. Only recognized University groups, educational groups, and non-profit groups may use the Sheep Barn. It is not for private individual use.
  2. The reservation will be confirmed after an authorized member of the event group signs a reservation confirmation statement for the use of the Sheep Barn. This statement indicates that he/she will see that the group follows the rules governing the Sheep Barn. This statement will be kept on file in the office at Squire Valleevue Farm.
  3. A Case undergraduate student group must name a sponsor, such as a faculty member or group advisor. This person need not accompany the group, but he/she must agree to be responsible for the group and sign a sponsor's agreement form.
  4. The maximum size of the group using the Sheep Barn is 140 people.
  5. The Sheep Barn is equipped with a CWRU Campus (368) and 911 emergency phone located in the lobby area.
  6. No weddings, wedding receptions, or private parties will be allowed at the Sheep Barn.
  7. A limited cooking facility is available. No cooking or eating utensils are provided. Events involving food must be catered or previously prepared.
  8. Leftover food must be disposed of properly and not left in the refrigerator.
  9. The Sheep Barn is not a picnic facility. No grills are available.
  10. Garbage and trash must be placed in the trash cans located in the kitchen. Please do not place trash outside.
  11. Do not throw water on burning logs in the fireplace. Make sure that the screen covers the opening so the fire will go out by itself.
  12. Groups using the Sheep Barn are subject to general farm policies and guidelines.
  13. Closing time for the Sheep Barn is 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 p.m. Sunday.
  14. Upon request, a podium, portable screen, and flip chart are available for use. No audio/visual equipment is available at the Sheep Barn.
  15. No tape or other glue-like material is permitted on the inside walls.
