Leadership

Being a leader within a fraternity or sorority carries many responsibilities similar to running a business and provides experience in managing finances, maintaining a home, and creating positive public relations. A good Greek experience can go a long way to place you above the competition in a career search. Employers, graduate schools, and professional programs all look at more than just grades. They are interested in a student's activities and what is learned through these activities.

Interfraternity Congress

The Interfraternity Congress is the student run governing body of all of the fraternities on the Case campus.

The Interfraternity Congress meets every other week with the Executive Board and the Presidents and IFC Representatives from each chapter. These meetings are chaired by the IFC President and consist of officer reports, old and new business, announcements, and an occasional special presentation by a campus official or guest speaker. The Executive Board meets every Wednesday evening for a brief meeting to give officer reports and to prepare for the bimonthly meetings of the Congress. The Executive Board members are also required to meet on a weekly basis with their Panhellenic Council counterpart and the Coordinator of Greek Programs.

Panhellenic Council

The Panhellenic Council is the unifying, governing and coordinating body of the sorority system. Panhellenic serves as the communication link between the sororities and the University administration. As the largest women's group on campus, the Panhellenic serves as a forum for Greek, campus, and residence life affairs.

Greek Community Educational Consultants

The Greek Community Educational Consultant (GCEC) position is designed to deliver educational assistance to fraternities and sororities. Supervised by the Greek Life office and working closely with IFC/Panhel, GCECs conduct group programs, respond to individual academic needs and concerns, and reach out to the faculty and staff to provide information and services to Case students.
