Arielle Kanters
Now in her third year, Arielle has maintained a 4.0 GPA with a major in systems biology and minors in Spanish, dance, and chemistry. For a year and a half, she researched learning in aplysia californica (a mollusk) within the biology and mathematics departments. She is now researching the dengue fever virus in Brazil. For the past two years, Arielle worked as a Calculus II SI Instructor. She is a member of Gamma Sigma Alpha, holds a position on the Scholarship Commission, is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and served as the Academic Excellence Advisor for Phi Mu. |

Drew Kouri
A senior member of Zeta Psi, Drew is majoring in mathematics and working toward a BS/MS degree. This past year, he was selected to participate in the National Science Foundation (NSF) Research at the Interface of Biological and Mathematical Sciences (RIBMS). He also successfully defended his master's thesis and was admitted to the Rice University Computational and Applied Mathematics Ph.D. program. Drew is a member of Gamma Sigma Alpha and Pi Mu Epsilon mathematics honor societies. This summer, he will participate in a dengue fever mathematical modeling project in Brazil. |

Valbona Bushi
This senior Alpha Chi Omega member and accounting major is an active leader on campus. She worked two years as a resident assistant, and she facilitated at the Second Year Institute and Emerging Leaders Program. Valbona is an active member and vice president of the University Program Board (UPB), and she helped organize Women in Leadership Week. She served as Vice President of Communication and President of the Panhellenic Council. She is a member of Beta Alpha Psi, Order of Omega, and Gamma Sigma Alpha. Her honors include Leadershape, Outstanding Sophomore and Junior award, and a national Order of Omega Scholarship. |

Myles Nickolich
A junior majoring in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry, Myles has been involved with Undergraduate Student Government (USG) the last three years and currently holds the position of USG President. He began as a residential college representative. He was elected Vice President of Student Life for two consecutive years and worked on improving Greenie routes, shaping the campus smoking policy, and serving on the Architect Selection Committee. Myles has served as an orientation leader, UUF representative, and a member of Delta Tau Delta. He also has been involved with Case Turning Point Society, Gamma Sigma Alpha, and Order of Omega. |

Rebecca Owens
A junior communication sciences and psychology major, Rebecca became involved as a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in October, 2006. In 2007, she was named co-student coordinator, expanding the program and increasing its awareness on campus. Rebecca also coordinated the Big Brothers Big Sisters Carnival and organized two teams to participate in the Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraising event. She regularly volunteers at University Hospitals and initiates activities with children. Her volunteer experience earned her a nomination for this year's IFC/Panhel Award in Outstanding Individual Philanthropic Achievement. |

Rebecca Winarski
This senior is a mathematics and psychology major, a three-time All Conference swimmer, and four-time Academic All American. As co-captain of the swim team, she led by example this year, placing in the Top 15 in the women's 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle swimming competition at the UAA Championships. She helped captain Greek Week swimming events for Alpha Chi Omega and also served as a scholarship chair, SMARRT leader, and Judicial Board justice. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society and was the recipient of the Patricia B. Kilpatrick Award for having the highest point average for a four-year varsity athlete. |

Nathan Klingensmith
A senior biology major, Nathan is a member of the All-UAA academic team and NCAA Division III Scholar All-American Team. As captain of the wrestling team, he placed fourth at the regional wrestling tournament and in the top six in two other tournaments this season. An active leader, Nathan served as president of Zeta Beta Tau, vice president of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship, and treasurer of the Case Association of Student Athletes. He is a member of the Gamma Sigma Alpha National Honor Fraternity and two-time recipient of the Dave Reynolds Memorial Scholarship from Rehoboth Beach Patrol. Nathan also received the Francis Hobart Herrick Prize for outstanding biological research and academic excellence in biology. |

Alex Hamburger
This senior management major began his artistic career with his involvement in CWRU Footlighters. During his first week in college, he took the lead role in The Wild Party. His success allowed him to take further lead roles in Footloose, Reefer Madness, and Chicago. Outside of performing, Alex has enjoyed success as a singer, where he spent all four years singing tenor for Case in Point and three years at Case Concert Choir. Using his performing arts experience, he helped organize both Greek Sing and Variety Show performances for Sigma Nu one from halfway around the world. He completed 21 hours of theater arts course work and earned the Robert O. Berger Award for Excellence in Management. |

John Boyer
This junior accounting major became interested in performing through his involvement at both Eldred Theater and CWRU Footlighters. Through his experience, he performed in Footloose, Reefer Madness, Beauty and the Beast, and Damn Yankees. He also has helped with technical work for Clue and Chicago. John also enjoyed success as a singer with University Singers and Case Men's Glee Club, and helped create Bigger Than a Breadbox. He served as Treasurer of Theta Chi and is successful academically. He was on the Dean's List all three years, and he has been a yearly recipient of the National Merit Scholarship and the CWRU Presidential Scholarship. |
