The Howard Shelley Fraternal Leadership Award

This award is limited to outstanding juniors and seniors. Candidates should exemplify honor, integrity, confidence, and honesty in their leadership roles within the Greek community. Please provide examples of leadership roles held and actions performed in these roles.

Extra Effort Award

This award recognizes Greek members who have put in exemplary efforts behind the scenes to better our community. Candidates should have a history of going "above and beyond the call of duty." Candidates don't necessarily hold the highest offices in the chapter or in the Greek community as a whole. Please provide examples of the nominee's dedication.

Outstanding Chapter President

This award recognizes chapter presidents who have not only successfully led their own chapter to accomplish its goals, but also maintained open avenues of communication with other chapters and officers within the Greek community. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their leadership skills in the chapter, their cooperation with other chapters and organizations, and their effort to be involved in the government of the Greek community. Please describe in one or two paragraphs only the nominee's accomplishments in the chapter and Greek community. Also, please include a recommendation from a chapter advisor.

IFC Intramural Individual Sportsmanship Award

The nominee should exemplify the term "sportsmanship" and should consistently exhibit sportsmanlike conduct during intramural events. Participation is an important aspect of sportsmanship, so candidates should have been involved in numerous events. Include a list of events the nominee has been involved with and the ways in which he has demonstrated sportsmanship.

Outstanding Individual Philanthropic Achievement

This award is intended to recognize the efforts of those individuals who have consistently participated in community service above and beyond those activities sponsored by the chapter. Please include examples of the individual's dedication to selflessly serving others.

Outstanding Chapter Member Award

This is an award to recognize a most outstanding chapter member for each fraternity and sorority. We ask that each chapter select one member that has assumed many responsibilities inside the chapter. This member should be one that works hard, but does not always receive a great deal of recognition. The member does not have to be an officer and may be selected by the chapter based on whatever criteria you or your chapter chooses.

Outstanding Chapter Scholar Award

This award recognizes an individual from each fraternity and sorority for academic excellence. We ask that each chapter select one member for this award based on your own selection criteria. This award is not necessarily given to the student who consistently earns a 4.0. It can recognize a student who has shown dramatic improvement, encouraged scholarship in the chapter, or distinguished himself in some other positive way.

Helping Hands Award

The Helping Hands Award recognizes outstanding efforts by people, organizations, or departments outside of the Greek community. Nominees should demonstrate continuing support through their assistance in Greek activities. When completing a nomination, please provide examples of the support given by the organization.
