Greek Trivia Nights
Greek Life sponsors an annual trivia contest to raise money for the Turkey Drive, an event that is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The 2008 competition raised $250 so others could have a Happy Thanksgiving. The contest was held at The Rough Rider Room, a campus gathering place located on the south end of campus.
Greek Night at the Movies is an event that is quickly becoming a Greek Life tradition. The Interfraternity Congress and Panhellenic Council, in collaboration with the CWRU Film Society, sponsor a free film night for Greeks who wear their Greek letters to the show.
Greek Chill Time
This is a time for fraternity and sorority members from different chapters to catch up. Sometimes, we can get so involved in our own chapter activities that there is no time to meet up — face-to-face — with friends from other Greek organizations. Greek Chill Time provides the opportunity for Greek members to say that long-lost 'hello' to each other. Food is often provided and scheduled before or after IFC and Panhellenic Council events.
The Greek community, in cooperation with Physical Education & Athletics, actively participates in the intramural sports program. Participation in intramurals not only provides physical activity but also enhances friendly competition that strengthens the bonds of friendship and develops team-building skills. Intramurals are one of the most popular campus activities. The Greeks participate in more than 20 different sports, ranging from flag football to table tennis. There are several levels of participation with many chapters having more than one team participate.
