Greek Traditions
The Greek community offers a variety of educational and social programming from Greek III to Greek Night at the Movies, and co-sponsors and supports many campus programs, such as Orientation, the Center for Women's Love Your Body Day, Halloween at the Farm, Family Weekend, the Faculty/Staff vs. Student Basketball Game, Springfest, and many others. In addition, Greeks are always developing new and innovative programs for both the Greek and Case communities.
The biggest Greek social event of the year is Greek Week, a full week of competition that shows Greek spirit at Case. Greek Week is a time to celebrate being Greek with the entire Case fraternal community and to show chapter pride.
Greek Carnival is held every year during Welcome Days near the North Residential Village. This event features many fun-filled booths run by chapters, though most people attend to meet other students. A large number of upperclassmen attend each year to catch up with friends.
Every semester, Greek Life sponsors a Leadership Conference. The conference is composed of topics ranging from basic leadership to advanced leadership skills. The event is always popular and well-attended by representatives of the entire campus community.
Battle of the Sides is an annual event held in the fall that pits the northside chapters against the southside chapters in a friendly competition. Based on attendance, the side with the highest participation wins bragging rights for the year. The events for Battle of the Sides include a faculty game show, Philanthropy Fair, and an educational speaker (Greek III).
