Greek Carnival
Greek Carnival, which is held the week before classes during Welcome Days, attracts hundreds of students and is one of the first chances for first-year men and women to meet Greeks and upperclassmen. Greek and non-Greek upperclassmen look forward to Carnival as a chance to reunite with their fraternities and sororities, as well as their non-Greek friends, after a long summer away from Case.
The lawn outside of Leutner Commons is transformed into a sea of color as chapters wear matching shirts and offer food and fun to other students while explaining all the positive aspects of being Greek at Case. Every chapter is invited to participate by setting up a booth that mimics a carnival game or serves carnival food. The socializing, eating, and game-playing lasts about three hours, but many students linger afterward to get to know the many new friends they met.
Examples of past booths have included:
- "Whack-a-Delt" - Delta Tau Delta's interpretation of the classic Whack-a-Mole arcade game
- Zeta Beta Tau's dunking booth
- Root beer floats from Theta Chi
- Alpha Phi's "Win A Phish"
