Creed and Values Award
To truly have a positive and meaningful Greek Life experience, we believe one must strive to live by the ideals and values set by our founders; as chapters and as individuals. Only when one honors their chapter's creed by incorporating the principles of that creed into their daily lives and through the actions of their chapter can they truly be called Greek. With this in mind, the Greek Life community at Case Western Reserve University would like to recognize those individuals and chapters that have demonstrated their creed and the values contained in it through their deeds and words.
A chapter award and an individual award will be given monthly when the Judicial Board receives a nomination and deems the actions in that nomination worthy of recognition. If no nomination of merit comes before the Judicial Board during the month, the board is not obligated to find a worthy recipient.
A chapter may be nominated by anyone associated with the Case Western Reserve University community. This includes:
- Another Greek Chapter
- Another Student Organization
- A Philanthropic Organization
- A Cleveland Community Member
- Faculty, Staff, or Administration
- A Student
The nominator should:
- Explain the actions which led them to nominate this chapter and/or Greek member
- Identify the values demonstrated
- Describe the implications of the actions taken by the chapter and/or individual
If you are interested in nominating someone, please complete a nomination form.
