Academic Events
Faculty Forums are held each semester and set up by the GCECs and UCITE. The goal of Faculty Forum is to open a dialogue between the Greek community and university faculty/staff/administration. The forums focus on a topic of interest to the university at large with the goal of improving
awareness of activities and accomplishments of the Greek community, improving the faculty perception of Greek Life, and increasing faculty involvement in student activities and affairs.
The Fall Scholarship Reception, held at the President's residence, celebrates outstanding Greek leadership, service, and academic performance. The event recognizes individual Greeks and Greek chapters that demonstrate academic excellence, newly initiated members of Greek leadership organizations, and chapters that meet the requirements of the 365 Days of Service program. The reception is also attended by many prominent members of Case faculty, staff, and administration, allowing distinguished Greeks to network within the university community.
The Study Over is an event held on the first reading day, during the week before finals, each semester. The Greek community assists in sponsoring the event for the entire campus. The Study Over consists of free food, tutoring, review sessions, and (the most popular) free massages. The program offers students either a quick break from studying for finals, or a chance to get some academic assistance from the tutors or review sessions. The Study Over has quickly become one of Case's traditions.
