Test Taking

• Find out what the test will cover
• Keep up with your classwork
• Don't use your review time to catch up on assignments
• Review previous years' tests
• Enter the exam with the proper attitude
• Avoid sitting near distractions, such as windows or doors
• Look over the entire test before you begin
• Always read the directions carefully
• When in doubt, ask for clarification
• Don't be afraid to change your answer
• Don't look for patterns
• When answering True/False questions, don't read more into the question than is actually there.
• Be sure to respond to the whole statement, not just part
• Many professors give partial credit, so show all of your work
• Double check the test before handing it in
• Relax
