The Student Executive Council (SEC) is an umbrella organization that represents several student-related groups, including University Student Government (USG), University Program Board (UPB), Student Media Board, Interfraternity Congress (IFC), Panhellenic Council (Panhel), the Class Officer Collective, and Residence Hall Association (RHA).
The council meets four times a semester to discuss campuswide issues and to promote communication between the groups. It also:
- Provides a forum for communication between member organizations
- Assists member organizations in coordinating activities and programs
- Helps members with promotion of activities and cooperation
- Governs the allocation of student activity fee revenue to member organizations
