Dedicated to peer-to-peer mediation and social norms programming

A peer helper is a student volunteer who provides outreach programming to peers in residence halls, Greek organizations and supports other efforts to improve the health and wellness of our campus community. The Peer Helper is a non-judgmental listener, refers students to campus/community resources and provides information and assistance through informal conversations and programs.

Peer Helpers are trained in issues including, but not limited to, substance abuse prevention, sexual assault and acquaintance rape prevention, sexually transmitted diseases/safer sex and communication skills.

The Certified Peer Educator Training session will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 17. The event will be held in the Spartan Room of Thwing Center. Have some lunch and make new friends! For details, please view our event poster. You can reserve your spot by e-mailing Svetlana.
