About RHA
Our Mission
The mission of RHA is to promote the best residential experience possible for the residents of Case Western Reserve University by encouraging a better
community and environment in which to live and learn. We do this through a variety of resources and groups.
The Residence Hall Association begins with every hall council. Each council consists of elected and appointed officers from every residence hall on
campus. One member from every hall council also represents the hall in the RHA General Body. Along with council representatives, at-large representatives
from around campus work on the Campus Life, Programming, and Public Relations committees of the General Body. This group also elects the RHA Executive
Officers who serve for one year.
History
The Residence Hall Association of Case was formed in 1992 by a merger of the North Campus Association and the South Campus Association. RHA spent
much of its early years establishing itself as an effective organization for bringing residents' concerns to the attention of university administrators.
Over the years, RHA has organized several major events, including the Winter Carnival, Spring Olympics, and Residence Hall Rumble. In addition, RHA works
closely with Housing and Residence Life, Campus Dining Services, Protective Services, Information Technology Services, and others to resolve the issues
of the resident body. Today, RHA is a strong and effective governing body representing all of the Case residents through hall councils, a general body,
and an executive board.
