Cleveland Neighborhoods
The greater Cleveland area is home to several distinct neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are home to a variety of restaurants, shops, and fun things to see and do.
University Circle – Case is located directly in University Circle, a neighborhood that offers a wide variety of attractions, free museum access for Case students, and places to eat.
Little Italy – This historic district is a two-minute walk
from the Case campus. The area is lined with beautiful brick roads, various Italian eateries, art galleries, and boutiques.
Coventry – Known for unique shops and restaurants, Coventry is a favorite stop on the Greenie for many Case students.
Cedar and Lee - Located close to neighboring university
John Carroll, this intersection offers numerous pubs,
restaurants, coffee shops, and an independent movie
theatre. A 20-minute walk from the southside of
campus or a 10-minute car ride, this area offers a little bit of something for everyone.
Shaker Square – In Shaker Square, you'll find the nation's
oldest mall located in the midst of a suburban neighborhood. Take the Community Circulator and enjoy the dining, cinema, and farmers market.
Downtown Public Square – Located at the center of
Cleveland, students can frequent the sports arenas,
concert venues, city library, and more. Take the
westbound Red Line or the Healthline bus and exit at Tower City Public Square.
West 6th – Also known as the warehouse district, this section of the city features nightclubs, pubs, upscale restaurants, and comedy clubs.
Flats – Located on the Cuyahoga River, the Flats offers waterfront concert venues, dance clubs, and
restaurants built for the college crowd.
Ohio City – A quaint neighborhood situated on the west
side of Cleveland, Ohio City features the historic West Side Market, a must-see for students, chefs, and tourists alike. The area is also home
to Great Lakes Brewery and the Market Square,
which holds open air markets in the fall. Take the Red Line RTA
westbound and depart at West 25th Ohio City.
