Commuter Administrative Hearing

In cases heard administratively, the following procedures apply:

  1. The student will be notified by the Office of Student Affairs of the date, time, and location of an administrative hearing.
  2. The hearing is generally closed and includes only the accused student(s) and judicial coordinator.
  3. The judicial coordinator will review all information and testimony by the student(s) and make a decision.
  4. The student(s) will be notified in writing of the decision and what sanctions, if any, will be imposed.
  5. The student(s) will be informed of the opportunity to appeal the decision to Assistant V.P. for Judicial Affairs.

Sanctions that may be given if a Commuter Administrative Hearing results in a student being found responsible, include but are not limited to the following:

  • a warning
  • restitution
  • fines
  • educational project
  • service project
  • referral

Commuter Administrative Hearings do not establish an official judicial record in the Office of Student Affairs.
