Resident Student Judicial Process
At Case, we believe in promoting positive community standards and upholding the core values of respect, acceptance, and tolerance for all members of the campus community. Living in an on-campus residence hall or Greek house requires certain standards of student conduct and a commitment to all university principles.
When residents are involved in allegations of misconduct or residential policy violations, we have a responsibility to identify issues, uphold the standards of the university, and impose sanctions when necessary. Depending on the nature of the violation, students may be required to participate in a judicial process that is designed to foster the development of ethics, discipline, and responsibility. Our judicial process involves several different types of hearings, each having its own process and procedures.
Our rules of conduct and formal disciplinary process cover a wide range of student academic and non-academic policies, many of which are governed by the Division of Student Affairs. The Director of Judicial Affairs is responsible for reviewing all disciplinary cases and reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.
