We all realize that physical activity is important in leading a healthy life. Now, after years of research, the Surgeon General of the United States has finally issued a report on physical inactivity in America. There are alarming statistics and facts included in this lengthy report. However, the main conclusions are as follows:

  • People who are usually inactive can improve their health and well-being by becoming even moderately active on a regular basis
  • Greater health benefits can be achieved by increasing the amount (duration, frequency, or intensity) of physical activity
  • Physical activity need not be strenuous to achieve health benefits

  • and PHYSICAL APPEARANCE (the most important for most college students!)
