Allergy Treatments

If you have a need for allergy shots on a regular basis, treatment is available at UHS at no additional charge.

For your convenience, allergy shots are available on Tuesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. so you can be in and out of the clinic in about 30 minutes. You will need to schedule an appointment each time you need a treatment. This can be set up at your first appointment for the entire semester.

If you need continuous allergy treatments, please provide the following information for our files:

  • Diagnosis (the reason you need the shots)
  • Vials containing the treatment to be injected
  • Student name listed on each vial
  • The list of the vial's contents, dilution, and expiration date
  • Suggested interval between injections
  • Instructions for administration of injections if the suggested interval has not been followed
  • Documentation of previous reactions, if any
  • Amount of time needed for ordering new serum

Please note: new instructions MUST accompany any new serum. Medication will be stored in a refrigerator at University Health Service.

Students will be responsible for ordering and paying for their vials of medication, and UHS nurses can assist in the ordering process. New vials can be sent directly to UHS.
