Additional Services

International Students Lounge

International students can use the International Students Lounge to conduct meetings, have discussions, study, or simply relax. The lounge has a meeting table which can accommodate up to six people and has additional seating for 6-10. You can reserve the lounge in advance to make sure it is available when you need it.

International Student Identification Cards (ISIC cards)

ISS issues International Student Identification Cards (ISIC) to Case and non-Case students. This ID helps to obtain discounts when you travel outside the U.S. Visit STA Travel to learn more about the benefits of having an ISIC card.

You will need one of the following to obtain an ISIC card:

  • Proof of registration from a school. This can be a student ID, transcript/grade report for the recently concluded semester, letter from a school official, tuition receipt, or proof of pre-registration for the coming semester.
  • A passport or driver's-license-size photo (that can be cut out of a larger photo)
  • $22 in cash or check, payable to "International Student Services." We cannot accept credit cards. Cash or check only, please.

Fax Machine

International students can use the fax machine at ISS. The fax number is 216.368.4889. We ask that you include a cover sheet with each fax, so in case there is a problem, you may be contacted.

Local fax messages can be sent free of charge. Domestic long-distance faxes cost $1 per page, and international faxes cost $2 per page. These charges can be paid by check or cash.

We cannot accept credit cards. We also can receive fax messages on your behalf at no charge. Please inform us in advance by e-mailing international@case.edu if we will be receiving a fax on your behalf.

Free Publications

A number of free publications are available in our office. They include GRE and TOEFL bulletins, driver's license exam preparation manuals, Circle Link bus schedules, Case Evening Shuttle brochures, some RTA bus schedules, Korea Daily newspapers, and a number of other magazines.

Day Care Listing

Day care centers provide care for young children and range in cost. A list of some daycare centers in this area can be obtained from ISS.

ISF's Friendship Family program (http://www.isfcleveland.org/)

International Student Fellowship (ISF) is a group of Christian students and families who want to help you make a smooth, safe, and fun-filled adjustment to your new home. ISF has an active friendship family program and provides opportunities to make new friends through planned activities like cultural outings, English conversation groups, and bible studies. ISF respects and protects the rights of students to believe as they choose. Any international student may use their services without obligation.
