FALL/SPRING

Assistant Coordinators live in a residence hall for first- or second-year undergraduate students. This position provides program development and administrative support to a first- or second-year student resident population. The position involves direct supervision of three to six Resident Assistants and indirect supervision of the remaining staff. Additional responsibilites include advising college/complex council, completing housing operations, and crisis response.

Graduate Resident Mentors (GRMs) live in the residential areas dedicated to our upperclass undergraduate students. GRMs provide administrative and programmatic support to the community, collaborate with Student Affairs partner offices, advise students on council or special interest housing, and monitor housing operations.

Refuge Coordinators manage and live in the Refuge facility located in Clarke Tower and work to create a positive, welcoming, and confidential environment for Case, CIA, and CIM students who would benefit from temporary time away from their usual living arrangements. This position reports directly to a Coordinator for Residence Education.

Recovery House Coordinators manage and live in the Recovery House and work to create a positive, welcoming, confidential environment and substance-free recovery-based house for Case, OCPM, CIA, and CIM students. This position reports directly to a Coordinator for Residence Education.

Assistant Coordinators for Residential Program Centers assume primary responsibility for preparing and staffing events that occur in The Spot and the Rough Rider Room. The position includes, but is not limited to, supervising undergraduate staff employees, preparing food, cleaning the event location, serving non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and food, and assisting customers. The Spot and Rough Rider Room are both designed to be environments that are inviting to all members of the Case community.

Greek Life Assistants (GLAs) assume primary responsibility for program development and related administrative responsibility for a Greek Life function area (Panhellenic Council, Programming, or Residential Services) and two residential units. The position includes responsibility for advising students, working in a program area, cultural and educational program development, monitoring student conduct, and the reporting and monitoring of building operation concerns within the assigned facility.

SUMMER

**Applications for the following three summer positions will be available on this website in December 2009, and will be due in late February 2010.

The Assistant Conference Coordinator (ACC) assumes primary responsibility for various aspects of our Summer Conference Housing program, including the onsite supervision of staff in the preparation of residential rooms. The ACC is expected to attend weekly staff meetings, training sessions, and supervisory planning sessions. They also participate in an on-call rotation operating seven days per week, including holidays. 

The Assistant Coordinators for Summer Programs position is a 14-week live-on position that provides administrative and programmatic support to the residents in a community of students residing in summer housing. The position includes direct supervision of six undergraduate students (resident summer assistants), developing and implementing a community development plan, addressing student concerns, and reporting and monitoring of building operation concerns within summer housing facilities.

The Summer On-site Coordinator for Summer on the Cuyahoga works closely with an outstanding group of college students from Case Western Reserve University and many other campuses throughout the country who come to Cleveland for internship positions with CWRU alumni and to participate in activities. This position requires full-time (40-hour) availability, May 18 through the first week in August. (Hours will include some evenings and weekends.) During the 10-week summer program, the Coordinator will be required to live onsite in a residence hall on the CWRU campus. A vehicle for transportation to and from program events is required. Given the needs of the position, the On-site Coordinator will not be permitted to take coursework during the period of employment.
