Living on Campus - Specific Session
Occupancy is available for one of the summer academic sessions:
- May Term: May 9 - June 1
- 5 week session: May 31 - July 6
- 8 week session: May 31 - July 30
- 5 week + 4 week session: May 31 - August 3
- 6 week session: June 14 - July 30
- 4 week session: July 5 - August 3
May Term Residents
May Term is only available to students with an existing spring 2008 assignment in a Case residence hall or university-operated Greek House. Students who sign up for May Term would remain in their current spring assignment until they are able to move into their summer housing assignment. Students can only move into their summer room assignment between Thursday, May 22 and Sunday, May 25. If you are participating in a May Term course which requires traveling, you must be in town between May 22 and May 25 to move into your summer housing assignment.
Spring Transitional Housing
Students with an existing spring 2008 assignment in a Case residence hall or university-operated Greek House, and will live on campus for the 5 week or 8 week session, may also choose spring transitional housing. This allows you to stay on campus from May 9 when the residence halls or Greek houses close for the spring semester, through the start of the first academic session on May 31.
Students in spring transition would remain in their current spring 2008 assignment until they are able to move into their summer housing assignment. Students can only move into their summer room assignment between Thursday, May 22 and Sunday, May 25.
Special Note for Current Alumni Residents: Due to Alumni House being renovated this summer, there is a possibility that you may have to move out before May 22. We will keep you posted as our plans for the renovation are finalized.
Fall Transitional Housing
Summer housing students with a fall 2008 assignment in a Case residence hall or university-operated Greek house, and have lived on campus for the 8 week, 6 week or 4 week summer session, may also choose fall transitional housing. This allows you to stay on campus from July 30 or August 3, when the summer academic session ends, through August 17 when the residence halls and Greek houses open for the fall semester.
Students in fall transition housing would remain in their summer housing assignment until they are able to move into their fall housing assignment. Students can only move into their fall housing assignment starting on Saturday, August 9 through 12noon on Monday, August 11, 2008.
Room Rates
All summer charges will be billed via student accounts through the Bursar's Office. Charges for spring transition dates before May 26 will appear on spring bills as an extension charge. Charges for fall transition dates after August 5 will appear on fall bills as an early arrival.

Application and Assignment Process
Applications will be available on the MyHousing site starting in April. Applicants must select the period of occupancy, including any transition periods, and accept the summer residence hall agreement when the application is completed. Building and roommate preferences can also be submitted, though Housing cannot guarantee that all requestes can be fulfilled.
Summer housing assignments will be made based upon lifestyle characteristics and roommate preferences listed on the housing application. Students will be notified of their summer housing assignment the week of April 21, 2008.
