Residential College Staff

The Residential Colleges are led by a team of professional and student staff members, as well as the student College Council. Members of the Residence Life Staff live in the respective residential colleges.

Coordinators of First Year Residence Education (FYCs) are live-in full-time professionals holding at least a master's degree in higher education, counseling, or a related field, as well as multiple years of experience working in residence life and/or student affairs at this or other institutions. The FYC possesses a variety of academic and student life experiences and is responsible for supervising the student staff, responding to crisis situations, addressing student conduct issues, and overseeing the entire residential college.

Assistant Coordinators of First Year Residence Education (AFYCs) are graduate students who also live in the residential colleges, providing support for residents and working closely with FYCs on community development, on-call coverage, and supervising the student staff.

Resident Assistants (RAs) are advanced undergraduate students who live and work with a group of first-year students. They fulfill the roles of team member, community builder, peer mentor and role model, advocate for social justice and diverse perspectives, academic partner, and administrator. The RA is always a good place for a resident student to begin if she or he has questions or needs help with any issue.

To reach a Residence Life Staff member, please contact the respective First Year Coordinator by email or phone during office hours. Students may reach RAs by email, or by stopping by the RA room on his or her floor. If a student or parent needs emergency assistance during off-hours, a network of on-call staff can be reached by calling Case Police at 216-368-3333.

Students or professions interested in applying for any position in the Office of Housing, Residence Life & Greek Life are welcome to learn about employment opportunities.
