Carlton Road Complex
  • Glaser House
  • Kusch House
  • Michelson House

The Carlton Road Complex is comprised of three houses: Kusch, Glaser, and Michelson, all named for Nobel Prize winners. The location of "The Top of the Hill," as it is most commonly called, is also home to several fraternity and sorority houses, The Rough Rider Room, and Carlton Commons.

During their second year at Case Western Reserve University, students are introduced to the three major themes of the program — Engagement, Exploration, and Creating a Personal Vision.

Events in previous years included the Second Year Institute, South Residential Village Welcome Party, Alumni Mystery Bus Tour, Second-Year Tailgate Party, and Second-Year Celebration. The Top of the Hill community staff strives to build a fun, academically conducive, safe community where students are encouraged to become active global citizens, life-long scholars, and ethical leaders.
