Faceplate
A faceplate is a device that holds multiple types of connections all in a single box. The standard faceplates on Case campus provide telephone, television, and network connections.
South Residential Village Faceplate
Alumni, Glaser, Kusch, Michelson, Murray Hill Greek houses, and Sigma Chi/Delta Upsilon have network connections added directly to the faceplate. These faceplates do not have network switches attached.

This is the most common faceplate in the residence halls. Rooms with these faceplates have a network switch bolted to the wall near one of the faceplates to allow you to connect a computer.
